Abstract:
We will test a theoretical model predicting team performance in complex, technological environments. The research will determine which team competencies predict effective

team performance in a complex and dynamic task. Using an established micro world environment, objective measures of team performance will be longitudinally collected on tasks of varying difficulty. We will further assess which individual difference variables are predictive of the development of these team competencies. The overall purpose of the research is to identify non-cognitive predictors of team competencies in technologically complex tasks so that appropriate Navy personnel may be selected and classified.
