Conducing Prototype Studies

Problems brought to the center by client/beneficiary firms are studied by a team of researchers (often involving both faculty and students). Exploratory/feasibility studies carried out by the center are documented in reports detailing the appropriate best practice in terms of modeling and solution methodology for the problem at hand.

Conducing Fundamental and Applied Research
Center researchers engage in developing and testing new modeling approaches and solution algorithms that embody the cutting edge of optimization technology. The innovations and practical advances resulting from this research will be published in top professional journals as well as the working papers series sponsored by the center.

Executive Development
Each year the center will sponsor workshops and conferences designed to bring managers to campus to learn about optimization technology and the most effective ways it can be applied in their industries
